I loved AOTC! It didn't disappoint me at all, though that might have something to do with the fact I didn't know what to expect. The best thing about the movie was that it left a lot up to the imagination. This short story series is composed entirely of AOTC 'missing moments'-- that is, stuff my twsted mind inserted inbetween scenes. I don't think any of it contradicts canon (yet).

This is not a songfic, though I did get the title from a Romantic Mode song of the same name. ^_^ Anyway, this is to take place after Obiwan and Ani hunt down Zam. Anakin returns to Padme's apartment, and they get a chance to really talk for the first time in ten years.
Shadow girls, anyone? (*whisper*-- if you get that reference, email me and I'll give you a cookie) Padme and Anakin aren't the only ones at the Naboo Lake Retreat, nor are the the only ones affected by the glory of summer. Rumors will fly.
A lot of people complain that Padme glossed over Anakin's slaughter of the Tuskens, but I don't think so-- she was shocked, she didn't want to believe it, and she honestly doesn't know how to help Anakin. She has too much emotion invested in him to walk away, and the slaughter isn't real to her because she hasn't seen it. But what if she *did*?
