Contrary to popular belief, feedback makes the world go round. ^_~ Okay, I'm kidding, but it *does* make the Fan Fiction world go round. Really, I'm serious!
What *is* feedback, you might ask. Well, that's when a reader sends an author a comment on their story. It can be just praise (those are really, really nice ^_~) or it can be constructive critism. More importantly, it lets the author know that their stories are being read, and it allows them to better their work.
Alright, you're saying, that's fairly simple. Why are you making a big deal about this?

So, I'll make it simple right here and just send you on your way with two things.
One: You can read all about the MANY reasons why you should send feedback at Lady Spring's Top Ten Reasons Why We Should E-mail Our Favorite Authors
and
Two: a simple formula.
